Instructions for Candidates
On the day of the Examination, you MUST HAVE with you:
- Your Participation Form
- Your identification document (ID, Passport or Certificate of Identity)
- A blue or black pen
You can also have:
- A bottle of water
- A pencil for keeping notes
- A watch (smartwatches are not allowed
On the day of the Examination, you CANNOT have with you:
- A tablet, smartwatch or any other electronic device
- Notes, books, papers or any other supporting material you may have brought
- A pencil case
- Blanco or erasable pen
Arrival at the Examination Centre
- You must arrive at the Examination Centre at least an hour prior to the examination in order to go through the identification process and to get assigned to an examination room. During your stay inside and outside the Examination Centre, you must keep the longest distance possible from each other and to avoid crowding.
- After entering the Examination room, you are not allowed to talk with the other candidates.
- After finding the seat appointed to you, you wait for the Invigilator’s instructions.
- Your mobile phone or any other electronic device you might have brought must be turned off and kept away from your desk.
The examination process
Once all the candidates have settled on their appointed seats, the Invigilator distributes the examination material which must remain closed until the Invigilator instructs candidates to open it. The examination material consists of:
The Examination Booklet which contains the Listening questions, the Reading texts and questions, as well as the two Writing Parts.
The Candidate Answer Sheet (OMR) in which the final Listening and Reading answers are marked.
The Writing Booklet for the Writing essays.
ATTENTION
You can keep notes on the Examination Booklet, but your final answers should be marked on the Answer Sheet (OMR) in order to be evaluated.
Your writing notes must be made on the appointed planning space of the Writing Booklet. Anything you may write on this space will not affect your mark.
- The examination starts with the Listening assessment, during which the entrance of candidates in the room is not allowed.
- After the Listening assessment is over, you can move on to the Reading and Writing, managing the remaining time in the way that suits you best.
- During the examination, you are not allowed to communicate with anyone else in the room except from the Invigilator. If you face any issues, you may quietly raise your hand and inform them.
- To ensure the safety of all candidates, the room’s windows will remain open throughout the examination and Antiseptic hand gel bottles can be found in each room.
- The Exam’s starting and finishing times are noted in a place where all candidates can see them.
- The room contains a clock easily seen by candidates.
- The invigilator will inform you when 15 and 5 minutes are left for the ending of the examination.
